Suda 51 might be great someday?

Today Killer Is Dead comes out and I just read a handful of reviews. The reputation Suda 51 has with me is games that use stylish creativity and game play that is kinda boring. I've been tugged along with tits and violence. I've played all Suda 51 games except Killer Is Dead and I'm not going to spend 60 bucks for another game that tugs me along. I would like the Suda 51 team to make a game that is actually a very involving game. Shadow of the damned had annoying controls and those annoying crying baby faces on gates doesn't help the desire to keep playing the game. The style of the game is awesome as was Killer 7 my favorite and first Suda game I played. Killer 7 is the shit and a damn good game in my opinion. Only beef I have with Killer 7 is it gets boring when I get hours into the game. This is not good. Keep me going, keep me wanting more in a game is what I say.

I like new ideas in games and I will give something a try especially if the previews show some cool looking shit in the game. Still it isn't enough with Suda games. Lollipop chainsaw I waited for the price drop, of course it was quick. The game ideas were there, the game play wasn't. If there was somethings to mix it up and change the pace I would have maybe remembered more about the game. I got about two thirds through it then took it out to never want to play it again.

In my opinion all Suda games should be 30-40 dollars new. Come on this is a rip off and I don't care if it is stylish and has tits. I want to pay for what the game is worth. Killer 7 is a game I payed full price for and felt that was a good deal because it worked out that way for me. It was also the very first of this weird shit for me to experience so I didn't know any better at the time. Even though Killer 7 has some nagging things in it, the audio is the greatest part of the game. You might be thinking, why don't you wait for the price drop? Why the fuck should I or why should you. The whole thing with charging more for the used games and or not being able to play used games might still happen one day. SO even to enjoy a mediocre game will have to be at the only option of full price. Of course value won't hold up for that either and the new games will turn out to be close to the same price as used price drops and will probably take the same amount of time to price drop. So go ahead and do it XBOX you greedy cunts. Most all games will be download only within time and so used games will be obsolete and people will take it as the future instead of being fucked out of a tangible game that you truly own.

when I first saw screens of Killer is Dead earlier this year I thought hmm Is this finally going to be a good Suda game and now it looks like again I will have to wait until the next to find that out. That guy must be making good money off shitting games out because he's still going. I will wait two weeks until the game is twenty dollars and I will maybe pick it up then. At that point I will find out for myself what are the goods and the bads of the game. Yes, I'm writing about it before I've even played it and that tells you how weary I am of paying even a dollar to try out another Suda 51 game. If you buy these games companies will keep putting out half ass shit. Best thing to do is only buy the best and that is asking too much of people that fall into the trap of marketing deception. I will say that all of the games I've played of Suda's would have a value at a certain extent and maybe I wouldn't have such opinions of the games if they were cut shorter and cost much less. Like a mini game. Most of the concepts lose my interest after a certain point anyway. Interesting how Suda went from Capcom down to XSEED games. It gets me down when the creative stuff falls short because those games are far and few between. The wait during can be dry with seasons passing and no games released. Maybe Killer is Dead is the shit and I don't know it yet. I will find out and let you know what I think.

*UPDATE 9/25/13*
I got my hands on Killer Is Dead and I'm about half way through the game. I wanted to jump on here and redeem Suda 51. This game is good shit and I read a bunch of reviews before I got it in my possession. Reviews can really be fucked up. These reviews have been fucked up for sure. Let me cut the shit and let you know what I like and dislike about the game.

Likes: Other than the annoying blue hue that resembles shading in the game the rest is awesome looking. The game mechanics are smooth and people are bitching about not having lock on. The camera floats around and isn't sticky. This is very good with game play and I like the fact there is no lock on. Shit in front of you is what you are going for and everywhere else you are weary of. This keeps you on your toes and makes the game more involved as you defend yourself against a horde of enemies. To block and slice keeps my attention and I'm involved, this is not a brainless hack and slash. I think hard about how I'm going to fuck them up. I don't want to spoil anything so I will only tell you that there is some really cool shit in this game. Audio and visuals are superb. So Suda made money of junk games so he could make this game. It was worth it and I forgive him with this title. Others might not even get the chance to forgive him with their last impression being Lollipop Chainsaw and the reviews of Killer Is Dead won't help it out either. The mondo girl thing isn't an issue, don't fuck up, look at the tits and crotch when she isn't looking and you will be over with it quick to get your upgrade gun. Like I say I will play any type of game as long as I enjoy it. You can put all kinds of weird shit in it and I will not care if I'm enjoying myself.

Don't like: There is loading screen that pops up that plays elevator music. This is shit when there is a climatic scene being split by this loading screen. The audio throws me out of the build up. Hey Suda! why the fuck did you do that?? The load screens should be in tune with the game.  So far there has been a few parts that are kinda slow and I will not want to play the shit a second time through, I don't know if I will be able to avoid this, I will have to wait til the game is done to find out. I have the DLC and that mission 51 is the worst I have played yet. Seeing the girls in their underwear boost the speed of how fast you can seduce them to get your gun upgrades. That is the only plus. I haven't checked out the outfits that come with it.

I will leave a conclusion once I have finished all of the missions and side missions.

*UPDATE* conclusion 9/26/13

Alright god damn it, I finished the game today and to cut the shit the game is great and the side missions blow. The only thing holding it back from being totally awesome would be the game slowed down by things you can't skip like the dream sequence shit inside the episodes. This will be totally shitty with replay value. The visuals are completely unique and no game compares. The audio is super good and pairs nice with the visuals. The game play held my interest all the way until the end of the game, which clocked in at ten and a half hours play time. The ability to skip cut scenes is much appreciated for replay. I enjoyed beating the fucking shit out of hundred of robot moon demons (whatever). The story is a trip and I didn't even try to get into it. I followed it ok and it made some sense to me. I will say that the story wasn't horrible nor was it good. It is like an anime and there is anime elements in the visuals. The upgrades and such keep the games pumping more action into your face. I sure as fuck wouldn't give this game a 5/10. Those low reviews that the game was given are bullshit and it is too bad for the people that put the effort and money into this game. Those reviews may have cost them big time. Like it or not you won't know until you play the game. I say don't be a pussy and play the shit. Ignore the shitty parts and bask in the excellent parts because the best parts of the game are the shit.

I would not pay more than $40 for this game. Essentially the game has no replay value and that is a big thing to me. Even though you can keep playing episodes over again and keep adding to your upgrades the episodes are not built for replay. SO, the game was put together by artistically talented people with absolutely no foresight. The first play through was enough for me. I have not given up on SUDA51 at least not yet. This game is certainly a step up from Lollipop Chainsaw. I will look forward to his next project.
